Brycie's in Seattle!

This picture>>>> was taken at Pike's Place Market in Seattle.
The fish throwing guys used our arm's field goals and threw the huge dead icey fish through them. It was super scary. the fish were like 2 inches from my head.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

As summer is ending, I'm thinking about what my favorite part of the summer has been. It's easy to point to the time of year I love the most...... Fourth of July time. Celebrations abound at that time of year for me, beginning with my birthday on July 2nd, then America's "birthday" on the 4th and then my anniversary on July 5th. Anthony and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. That night we dinned out at a really great restaurant in Del Mar called Market (it's over by Scalini's across from the Polo Fields and Mary's Tack and Feed---for those who know local geography). Grandma Rosie helped watch her two grandkids that night, awesome!

One of the main reasons that I enjoy that time of year so much is I usually spend it in Del Mar with M. Each summer I really look forward to that trip. All other summer fun stuff is good too... but, for me 4th of July time is simply spectacular!

Sunday favorites

I have thought of another idea for our post...we'll see if anyone else likes it. Let's share something we enjoyed from church each Sunday...it might be fun to know what's important to each of us spiritually. I wanted to share one of my favorite talks from the last general conference...by Elder Eyring. The link is http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-690-32,00.html
I also wanted to mention how much I enjoy teaching the family relations class. Today I am speaking on forgiveness in marriage...wow, is that an important topic. As I have prepared the lesson I have been impressed with how insightful President Faust's last conference talk was. We need to forgive, because when we don't forgive, it slows our spiritual progress. Read for yourself... http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-690-24,00.html

Hi Family!

Hi Family,
Hope this note finds you all well and happy.
I'm so glad we have this "blog" and hope we can keep the communication going. I think the "tag" business sounds fun, Katy! Aunt Mer doesn't know she's been tagged.
What's everyone up to?
Let's hear some news....
I'm working away here in San Diego with a heat wave and humidity which comes once a year for several weeks (I know, that's nothing to complain about!)compared to a few
other places in the country! Cali (my cocker spaniel) and I usually turn in early and watch a couple tv shows, then get up really early for a long walk when it's a little cooler. I got a nice little "r2d2" air conditioning unit on wheels from
Cape and I'm happily cooling the bedroom! Using Cali's doggie door for the vent.
Oooops, sorry Cali!
Love & hugs to all,
Mom/Rosalie/Oma/Grandma Rosie
